1. Change your morning routine. How you start your morning can really set the tone for the rest of the day. Give yourself time in the morning to wake up and get ready rather than rushing out of the door the minute you get out of bed.
  2. Practice better sleeping habits. Did you know that well-rested sleep is associated with several physical and mental health benefits? Do not go on any electronic devices before bed. Research shows that TVs, phones and tablets emit blue light that can contribute to poor sleep.
  3. Drink plenty of water. It is always important to always stay hydrated throughout the day. Dehydration has been linked to numerous health complications and can also lead to a loss of strength and stamina.
  4. Take an hour off social media every day. Our addiction to social media takes away from our ability to engage with people and things that are present in the moment. A social media detox will help you regain your sense of freedom from the shackles of notifications and feeds.
  5. Get a massage once a month. Treat yourself to a massage at least once a month to reduce emotional and physical stress. If you sit at a desk all day for your job, a massage can be very beneficial to you because it can reduce the build-up of tension and pain in muscles.
